Steven has been with Greer Golf for four years and counting. Steven attended nearby Dorman High School, followed by Spartanburg Technical College and then Clemson University. He has an impressive background in groundskeeping, having attained his Bachelors of Science in Turfgrass Management and his Associate's Degree in Horticulture. He is also certified in Landscape Management and as a South Carolina Pesticide Applicator.

Steven’s experience in the field is quite extensive. Prior to Greer Golf, he spent 14 years working as grounds crew at various clubs, including 3 years as an estate manager, and another 10 as an Assistant Superintendent at two other clubs.

Outside of golf, Steven loves being with his wife Michelle and his three children, William Thompson, age 3, Lauren McLure, 15, and Sarah McLure, 17.
