Greer Golf's Response to COVID-19 & Safety Precautions
Greer Golf values the health and safety of all who visit the facility. With COVID-19 precautions touching nearly every facet of our lives, we are pleased to report that Greer Golf remains open for your enjoyment.
That comes with a requirement for personal responsibility – following proper hygiene protocols and practicing social distancing during the pandemic. Golf course operations already provide a model and method that allows staff to control the size of groups in which people participate.
Personal protective equipment, especially face masks, are encouraged in high-traffic areas such as the Pro Shop. Greer Golf is also implementing the following policies to ensure golfers’ safety while enjoying the facilities.
To avoid touching potentially contaminated materials:
-
Fitted foam pieces have been placed in the bottom of each hole to prevent balls from dropping to the bottom.
-
Golfers are asked to pick up their tees, cigarette butts, etc.

-
Each cart is sanitized after every round to protect the next golfer who takes it onto the course.
-
Water coolers have been removed from the course. Golfers may purchase beverages in the clubhouse or bring their own.
-
To avoid repeated touching, golfers are asked to not remove the flagstick when putting.
-
Golfers are asked to not touch other players’ clubs and to forego the traditional post-round handshake.
-
All rakes have been removed from bunkers. Golfers are asked to use their feet to smooth the sand after hitting.
To comply with social distancing guidelines:
-
Individual golf carts are recommended.
-
A limited number of golfers will be permitted in the clubhouse at one time to allow for social distancing.
-
Dine-in options are not permitted in the restaurant. Food and beverages are available to go.
